Shallow Mount, Built Properly

The Wavtech thinPRO is a shallow mount line, and shallow drivers are where a badly chosen enclosure costs you the most. Put a thinPRO in a full depth cabinet and you have paid for a shallow driver to solve a space problem you then reintroduced. Every cabinet here is built to keep the external footprint down.

Bare Enclosures

Micro Series sealed cabinets for the thinPRO 10 at $219.99 single and $299.99 dual, and for the thinPRO 12 at $279.99 single and $299.99 dual. The dual 12 comes with a choice of acrylic baffle insert, plain at $299.99, with the brand logo at $339.99, or custom cut at $349.99.

A single 12 inch Micro Series system with the thinPRO 12 already mounted and wired at $899.99, in 2 ohm or 4 ohm.

Direct Fit Ford

Two behind seat builds for the F-150, both loaded with the thinPRO 12 at $1,099.99. One for the 2015 to 2023 platform including the F-250, one for 2024 to 2026. The platforms changed and the boxes are not interchangeable, so check your year before ordering.

Why Micro Series

Micro Series is our stack fabricated construction: layered CNC cut panels rather than dado joinery, with dowels between layers acting as tension reinforcement. It keeps the walls rigid at a smaller external size, which is exactly what a shallow build needs. All four corners are radiused three inches top down, and the area behind the driver magnet is precision milled to recover internal volume and relieve backpressure against the voice coil.

Dual Micro Series enclosures are common chamber. Both drivers share the total net volume with no divider wall.

Where Shallow Actually Helps

Behind a seat, under a seat, in a truck cab where the available depth is fixed by the vehicle and not negotiable. That is what the thinPRO exists for and it is why two of the builds here are direct fit F-150 cabinets. If you have the room for a standard depth driver, a conventional sub in a conventional box will usually give you more for the money. If you do not, this is the answer.

How These Are Built

Langboard Elite MDF, CNC cut on ShopSabre routers in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Stack fabricated, internally reinforced, prewired to a Proline X ABS and carbon fiber terminal cup with stainless steel hardware, and shipped with polyfill installed. Micro Series enclosures carry a 2 year limited warranty on craftsmanship and materials.

Frequently Asked Wavtech Enclosure Questions

Is the thinPRO single or dual voice coil?

Single voice coil only, in 2 ohm and 4 ohm. This catches people out, because most subwoofers at this level are dual coil. Plan your wiring from single coil figures.

Which F-150 enclosure do I need?

Depends on the year. One build covers 2015 to 2023 including the F-250, the other covers 2024 to 2026. Ford changed the platform between them and the boxes do not interchange.

Is the dual enclosure common chamber?

Yes. Both drivers share the total net volume with no divider between them, which is standard across Micro Series duals.

What are the acrylic insert options on the dual 12?

Plain, brand logo, or custom cut. They are cut on our laser in house and are cosmetic rather than acoustic, so choose on appearance. Custom means you tell us what you want in it.

Should I choose a thinPRO or a standard depth driver?

If your mounting depth is fixed by the vehicle, thinPRO. If you have the room, a conventional driver in a conventional box will generally give you more output for the money. Shallow is a solution to a space constraint, not a free upgrade.

Do the loaded builds need anything else?

An amplifier. The driver arrives mounted, wired and sealed against the baffle, but these are passive enclosures with no amplification built in.
