We stock the Sony Mobile ES ten inch driver and we cut the cabinet for it. That is unusual in this range: most brand pages here are enclosures for drivers you source elsewhere. Here the pair is matched because both halves come from us.
Cut for One Driver, Not a Size Class
This is not a general ten inch Sony box. It is cut to the published alignment of the Mobile ES ten inch, so the net volume and the baffle cutout are right for that driver rather than approximated for its diameter. A different Sony subwoofer wants a different cabinet.

It is cut for the Sony Mobile ES ten inch subwoofer, to the parameters Sony publishes for that driver. Other Sony subwoofers have different parameters, so this is not a general-purpose ten inch Sony enclosure.

Yes. We stock the Sony Mobile ES ten inch alongside this enclosure, so you can buy the matched pair from one place or take the cabinet on its own if you already own the driver.
Why is it sealed rather than ported?
Because the Mobile ES line is built for accuracy and a sealed alignment preserves it. A closed volume loads the cone and rolls off gently, which keeps transient response tight. Ported would buy output around a tuning point at the cost of that control.
What does Performance Optimized mean here?
A 1.5 inch double baffle, cut to one driver rather than to a size class, with the bracing that standard implies. The net volume and the baffle cutout are set for the Mobile ES specifically.
Does it ship with polyfill?
Yes. Every sealed cabinet we build ships with polyfill already installed. You do not need to add any and you should not remove it, because the fill is part of how the enclosure was tuned.
Can you cut a dual or a different orientation for this driver?
Possibly. Everything is CNC-cut to order in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Contact us with what you need and we will tell you whether we can build it for the Mobile ES.
