Two Arc Lines, Two Different Cabinets
Arc Audio has two shallow mount subwoofer lines and they do not share an enclosure. The SW and the A Series differ enough in what they want from a cabinet that we cut them separately, which is why you will see both listed here rather than one box claiming to cover both.
SW Series
Micro Series sealed cabinets for the SW10 at $269.99 and the SW12 at $299.99, plus a dual SW10 at $349.99. Each single is available bare or loaded with the driver in D2 or D4 at $724.99 for the 10 and $779.99 for the 12.
A Series
Micro Series sealed cabinets for the A10 at $269.99 and the A12 at $299.99. Same construction, different internal volume, cut to the A Series parameters rather than the SW.
Bundles
Driver and enclosure together with the box at 50 percent off. Available on the X2 12, the A10 and the SW10, in D2 or D4 and in grey trunkliner or plush black. If you are buying both halves anyway this is the cheaper route.
Why Micro Series
Both the SW and A Series are shallow mount drivers, and a shallow driver in a full depth cabinet wastes the reason you chose it. Micro Series is our stack fabricated construction: layered CNC cut panels rather than dado joinery, with dowels between layers acting as tension reinforcement. It keeps the walls rigid at a reduced external footprint.
All four corners are radiused three inches top down, and the area behind the driver magnet is precision milled to recover internal volume and relieve backpressure against the voice coil. Dual Micro Series enclosures are common chamber, with both drivers sharing the total net volume.
One Volume, Not Three
These cabinets are built at the volume Arc Audio recommends for each driver rather than offered in a range of sizes. We trialled multiple volume options on this line and it created more confusion than value, so we build the alignment that works and let the driver do what it was designed to do.
How These Are Built
Langboard Elite MDF, CNC cut on ShopSabre routers in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Stack fabricated, internally reinforced, prewired to a Proline X ABS and carbon fiber terminal cup with stainless steel hardware, and shipped with polyfill installed. Micro Series enclosures carry a 2 year limited warranty on craftsmanship and materials.
No. They call for different net volumes, which is why we cut them separately. Order the cabinet built for the line you actually own.
Are Arc subwoofers single or dual voice coil?
Dual, across the whole range. D2 and D4 are the options. If you are planning wiring, work from dual coil figures.
Is the dual SW10 enclosure common chamber?
Yes. Both drivers share the total net volume with no divider between them, which is standard across Micro Series duals.
Is the bundle actually cheaper?
Yes. The enclosure is half price when bought with the driver. If you were buying both anyway there is no reason to buy them separately.
Why is there only one size option now?
We previously offered three volume choices on these cabinets and it created more confusion than value. We now build at the volume Arc recommends for each driver.
Do the loaded versions need anything else?
An amplifier. The driver arrives mounted, wired and sealed against the baffle, but these are passive enclosures with no amplification built in.
