Prodigy Audio runs three subwoofer lines and we cut cabinets across all of them, in ten, twelve and fifteen inch. Mostly sealed, with a ported option, and in every orientation we build: standard, wedge and down-fire.

We stock the Prodigy drivers as well as the enclosures, so you can buy the pair together, buy the box for a driver you already own, or take one of the systems that ships loaded and ready.

Prodigy Audio Enclosures by Size and Orientation

Shared across every row: Langboard Elite MDF cut on ShopSabre routers in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Plush black carpet. A Proline X ABS and carbon fibre composite terminal cup with stainless hardware, pre-wired in 12-gauge OFC. Construction method varies by series and is stated on each product page.

Three Lines, and We Carry the Drivers

The three Prodigy lines are not interchangeable in an enclosure. Their published parameters differ, so a ten inch cabinet cut for one line will not suit another line's ten. Each product page names the line and the model it was designed around.

What makes this range easier than most is that we stock the drivers too. If you have not bought the subwoofer yet you can match it here rather than guessing, and a couple of the listings arrive as complete loaded systems.

How to Choose

Start from the line and model

Or, if you have not bought the driver yet, pick the driver and cabinet together. We stock both.

Sealed or ported

Sealed for tighter, more accurate bass in a smaller cabinet. Ported for more output around the tuning frequency, in a larger one. Most of this range is sealed.

Pick the orientation for the space

All three are offered. The decision is fitment rather than sound quality, since each is cut to the same driver data.

Loaded or bare

Some listings ship as complete systems with the Prodigy driver already mounted and wired, which removes the matching question entirely.

Line, Size and Orientation

Identify the line first

The line matters as much as the diameter. Two Prodigy tens from different lines want different net volumes, so the model on the product page is the match to work from.

Then the size and configuration

Ten, twelve and fifteen inch, in single and dual. A dual is not two singles joined together: each chamber is cut tighter so the cabinet still fits the same space.

Then the orientation

A wedge tapers on the rear panel to sit flush against a seat back. A down-fire cabinet aims the cone at the floor and needs its feet clearance counted into total height. Standard front-firing just needs the opening.

Buy the Box, the Driver, or the Whole System

We stock Prodigy Audio subwoofers as well as these enclosures. Some listings ship as complete loaded systems with the driver already mounted and wired; the rest are cut for a driver you already own. Whichever half you still need is here.

Prodigy runs three subwoofer lines and they have different published parameters. A ten inch cabinet cut for one line will not suit another line's ten. Every product page names the line and model it was cut for, so order from that rather than the diameter.

Sealed, Ported, and Every Orientation

Most of the range is sealed, with a ported option for the builds that call for it. Wedge, down-fire and standard front-firing are all represented, so the orientation can follow the install rather than limiting it.

Performance Optimized covers most of the range on a 1.5 inch double baffle, with a Professional Series build at the top. Every sealed cabinet ships with polyfill installed.

Are these sealed or ported?

Mostly sealed, with a ported option. Sealed gives tighter, more accurate bass in a smaller cabinet; ported gives more output around the tuning frequency from more airspace. Every sealed cabinet ships with polyfill installed.

Can I use a driver from one line in a box cut for another?

You should not. The lines have different published parameters, so the net volume that suits one will not suit another even at the same nominal size. Using the wrong cabinet gives up the performance the driver is capable of.

Which orientation should I pick?

Whichever suits the space. Wedge sits flush against a seat back, down-fire uses the floor as part of the acoustic load and needs designed-in clearance, and standard front-firing needs only the opening. All are cut to the same driver data.

What does a loaded system include?

The enclosure with the matching Prodigy driver already mounted and wired, ready to connect to an amplifier. It is the simplest route if you have not bought the subwoofer yet.
