Which Series Your Image Dynamics Driver Calls For
Image Dynamics ladders its subwoofers, and the enclosure should follow. We build a different series against each rung rather than dropping every driver into the same cabinet.
IDQ Series: Performance Optimized
The IDQ 10 and IDQ 12 are the mid tier of the Image Dynamics range and they get Performance Optimized boxes. Single 10 inch starts at $249.99, single 12 inch at $299.99, with dual configurations at $329.99 and $389.99. Each is available box only or with the driver added in dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm, which is the simplest route if you have not bought the sub yet.
IDMAX Series: Professional Series
The IDMAX is the sound quality benchmark of the range and it gets the Professional Series treatment. Sealed boxes for the IDMAX 10 at $249.99, IDMAX 12 at $299.99 and IDMAX 15 at $379.99, plus a dual IDMAX 10 at $319.99. Loaded versions with the driver already mounted and wired run $699.99 for the 10 and $799.99 for the 12.
Not Sure Which Driver You Have
IDQ and IDMAX are not interchangeable in the same box. They differ in compliance and resonance, which changes the net volume each one wants. Check the badge on the motor or the model number on the frame before ordering, and if the box you need is not listed, we cut to spec.
Single, Dual, or Loaded
Most of this range comes three ways and the right choice usually comes down to what you already own.
Box Only
Ships prewired to the terminal cup, ready for the driver you already have. This is the majority of what we sell here and it is the right pick if the sub is already in the vehicle or on the way.
Loaded
Driver mounted, wired, and sealed against the baffle at our bench. You still need an amplifier, and for a single sub a monoblock is the correct topology. Loaded builds remove the two things installers most often get wrong: gasket seal and coil wiring.
Dual Driver
Two drivers sharing one cabinet. Available across both IDQ sizes and on the IDMAX 10. Worth confirming your amplifier is stable at the final impedance your wiring produces before you commit.
How These Are Built
Langboard Elite 3/4 inch MDF, CNC cut on ShopSabre routers in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Every enclosure is internally braced and prewired to a Proline X ABS and carbon fiber terminal cup with stainless steel hardware. Sealed variants ship with polyfill installed.
Warranty follows the series. Professional Series enclosures, which covers the IDMAX boxes, carry a 2 year limited warranty on craftsmanship and materials. Performance Optimized enclosures, which covers the IDQ boxes, carry 1 year.

No. The IDQ and IDMAX have different compliance and resonance, which means they call for different net volumes. Putting an IDMAX in a box sized for an IDQ will not damage the driver, but it will not perform the way it was engineered to either. Order the box built for the model you own.
What is the difference between the Performance Optimized and Professional Series boxes?
Both are cut from the same Langboard Elite MDF on the same routers. Professional Series is the higher construction tier and is matched to the IDMAX, which is the flagship driver in the Image Dynamics range. Performance Optimized is matched to the IDQ. The tier follows the driver rather than being a separate choice you make.
Do you sell enclosures for the ID Series?
The entry level ID Series maps to our Performance and Performance Down Fire enclosures rather than the two series listed on this page. Contact us with your model and we will point you to the right box or cut one to spec.
Should I buy the box loaded or empty?
Empty if you already own the driver. Loaded if you are buying both together and want the gasket seal and coil wiring done at our bench rather than in your driveway. Loaded builds are available for the IDMAX 10 and 12 and for both IDQ sizes.
Do I need an amplifier?
Yes. These are passive enclosures with no amplification built in. For a single subwoofer a monoblock matched to the driver's final impedance is the standard approach. If you are keeping the factory head unit you will also need a line output converter or a DSP with speaker level inputs.
What is the warranty?
It depends on the series. The IDMAX boxes are Professional Series and carry a 2 year limited warranty on craftsmanship and materials. The IDQ boxes are Performance Optimized and carry 1 year. The Image Dynamics driver itself carries its own manufacturer warranty separately.
