The sealed cabinets are cut for control and low distortion, which is what these drivers are bought for, and polyfill is pre-installed on every one because the fill is part of the tuning rather than an accessory. The ported wedges and ported down-fire cabinets are solved from the same published parameters for the buyer who wants more output, with the tuning frequency stated on each listing.

Buy the Box, the Driver, or Both

The loaded builds ship with the matching Image Dynamics driver already mounted and wired. The rest are cut for a driver you already own. We stock Image Dynamics subwoofers separately as well, so whichever half you still need, it is here.

Two Build Standards, Three Shapes

Performance Optimized covers most of the range, with Professional Series above it. The sealed builds are standard front-firing and wedge, the wedge tapered on the rear panel so the baffle stays vertical and the box sits flush against a seat back or trunk wall. The ported builds come as wedges and as down-fire cabinets that aim the cone at the floor.

Every sealed cabinet ships with polyfill already installed; the ported cabinets ship without it, because fill would move the tuning. Most are single-driver cabinets, with sealed duals across both IDQ sizes and across the IDMAX 10, 12 and 15.

Image Dynamics Subwoofer Box Questions

Which Image Dynamics subwoofers do these boxes fit?

The cabinets here are cut for Image Dynamics subwoofers in 10, 12 and 15 inch across their subwoofer lines. Each product page names the exact model it was designed around. Match the model number rather than the nominal size, because two 12 inch drivers from different lines want different net volumes.

Do you sell Image Dynamics subwoofers as well?

Yes. We stock Image Dynamics subwoofers alongside these enclosures, so you can buy the driver and the cabinet together or separately. Some of the cabinets here already come loaded with the matching driver.

Are these sealed or ported?

Both. The sealed cabinets are the reference for these drivers, because Image Dynamics subwoofers are chosen for accuracy and control and a sealed alignment preserves that: tighter transient response and a gentle roll-off in a smaller cabinet. The ported wedges and ported down-fire cabinets are for the buyer who wants more output from the same driver, each solved from its published parameters with the tuning stated on the listing.

What is the difference between Performance Optimized and Professional?

Performance Optimized cabinets are cut to one driver on a 1.5 inch double baffle and make up most of the range. Professional Series goes further on baffle construction and internal bracing. Both are cut to the same published parameters; the Professional build is more cabinet around them.

Should I choose a wedge or a standard cabinet?

It is a fitment decision, not an acoustic one. Within the same alignment both are cut to the same volume for a given driver. A wedge tapers on the rear panel so it sits flush against a seat back; a standard cabinet is a straightforward box. Measure the space and pick the shape that suits it.

Do these ship with polyfill?

The sealed ones do. Every sealed enclosure we build ships with polyfill already installed. You do not need to add any and you should not remove it, because the fill is part of how the cabinet was tuned. Ported cabinets ship without polyfill, because fill would move the tuning.
