Kicker builds more subwoofer sizes than almost anyone, and we cut cabinets across the whole span: 8, 10, 12, 15 and 18 inch, single, dual and triple. Sealed for control, ported where the driver is built to be pushed.

One thing to be clear about up front. We build the enclosure and we do not sell the driver. Source your Kicker subwoofer wherever you like; the box is ours, cut in Tullahoma, Tennessee, to that driver's published parameters.

The CompRT is Kicker's shallow-mount line, and the CompRT 10 needs 3.4375 inches of mounting depth, which is why it also fits both F-150 behind-seat platforms: those boxes ship loaded with it for the 2015 to 2023 F-150 and F-250 Super Duty and the 2024 to 2026 F-150, F-250 and F-350. The other Comp lines, CompR, CompVR, CompVT, CompC and Comp GOLD, are cut as ported wedges and ported down-fire boxes at 10 inch and, apart from the CompC, at 12 inch; the CompQ and Comp VX as sealed wedges at 10, 12 and 15 inch; and the Solo-Baric L7T and L7R as sealed 10s. Shared across every cabinet: Langboard Elite MDF cut on ShopSabre routers in Tullahoma, Tennessee, a Proline X terminal cup pre-wired in 12-gauge OFC, and polyfill in every sealed build.

The Widest Size Range We Cut For

Most brands we build for live in the 10 and 12 inch middle. Kicker does not, and neither does this catalogue. It runs from an 8 inch cabinet that will fit under a seat to an 18 inch build, with 10, 12 and 15 inch in between, and it reaches further at both ends than most brands we cut for.

That breadth is the reason this page exists as a brand page rather than a size page. If you already know which Kicker driver you have, the model decides almost everything: the alignment, the cabinet volume and the baffle cutout are all cut to that specific driver rather than to the nominal size.

How to Choose

If you have a Solo-X or a CompRT, start with the tables

The Solo-X builds are the largest single group here, and the CompRT is the shallow-mount line most often asked about. Both have a cabinet-by-cabinet table further down this page with the volume and tuning of each build.

Pick the size

10 inch is the largest group, then 12, then 8 and 15, with an 18 at the top. The small end earns its place: the Solo-X 8 comes as a single, a dual and a triple.

Single, dual or triple

Mostly singles, with duals through the middle of the range and a triple at the small end. A dual is not two singles joined: each chamber is cut tighter so the cabinet still fits the same space.

Sealed or ported

Sealed for tighter, more accurate bass in a smaller box. Ported for more output around the tuning frequency, in a larger one.

Then source the driver

We do not sell Kicker drivers on their own, so for most of this range you buy the subwoofer from a Kicker dealer and the cabinet from us. The vehicle-specific cabinets are the exception and arrive with the driver already fitted.

Start From the Kicker Model

Three steps, and the first one settles most of it.

Identify the driver

The cabinets here are cut per Kicker model, not per size. Two 12 inch Kicker subwoofers from different lines want measurably different volumes, so the model number on the product page is the match to work from.

Check the space, including the shape

A wedge needs its depth at the deepest point and sits flush to a seat back. A down-fire cabinet needs feet clearance counted into total height. A standard cabinet just needs the opening. Published external dimensions are on every listing.

Confirm the alignment suits the install

Ported needs more airspace than sealed for the same driver. If the space is tight, a sealed cabinet in that space will beat a ported one that had to be shrunk to fit.

We Cut the Box, You Source the Driver

Every cabinet here is built to a Kicker driver's published parameters. We do not sell Kicker drivers on their own and we are not a Kicker dealer, so for most of this range you buy the driver wherever suits you and the enclosure from us. The exception is the vehicle-specific cabinets, which ship with the Kicker driver already fitted.

8 to 18 Inch, Including a Triple

It is one of the widest size ranges we cut for any brand. If you are working at either extreme, an 8 inch under a seat or an 18 inch in a dedicated box, the cabinet exists rather than needing a custom quote.

Sealed and Ported, Three Orientations

The range splits close to evenly between sealed and ported. Most of the ported cabinets are Performance Optimized wedges and down-fire boxes for the Comp lines, CompR, CompRT, CompVR, CompVT, CompC and Comp GOLD; the rest are Professional Series X Series cabinets for the Solo-X. The sealed side covers the Solo-X in Performance Optimized wedges, the CompRT in down-fire, the CompQ and Comp VX in wedges, and the Solo-Baric L7T and L7R.

Wedge is the most common shape here, then down-fire, then standard front-firing. Every sealed cabinet ships with polyfill already installed; the ported ones ship dry.

Kicker Subwoofer Box Questions

Do you sell Kicker subwoofers?

Not on their own. We build enclosures cut to Kicker drivers' published parameters and we do not stock Kicker drivers as separate products or represent the brand. The exception is the vehicle-specific cabinets, which ship loaded with a Kicker CompRT 10 already fitted. For everything else, source the subwoofer from a Kicker dealer and buy the enclosure here.

Which Kicker subwoofers do these boxes fit?

The Solo-X, the CompRT shallow-mount line, the CompR, CompVR, CompVT, CompC, Comp GOLD, CompQ and Comp VX, and the Solo-Baric L7T and L7R, from 8 through 18 inch. Each product page names the exact model its cabinet was cut for. Match the model rather than the size, because two Kicker 12s from different lines want different volumes.

Which box fits a Kicker Solo-X?

Two routes at every size from 8 to 12 inch: a Performance Optimized sealed wedge, which is the compact choice, or a Professional Series X Series ported cabinet for more output from a much bigger box. The 12 inch Solo-X gets 1.13 cubic feet sealed or 3.00 ported at 31 Hz, for example. The 15 and 18 inch Solo-X are cut as sealed wedges.

Which box fits a Kicker CompRT?

For the CompRT 10: a sealed down-fire at 0.80 cubic feet, a sealed dual at 1.59, a ported wedge at 0.98 tuned to 35 Hz or a ported down-fire at 1.26 tuned to 33.5 Hz. For the CompRT 12: a sealed down-fire at 1.25, or a ported wedge or down-fire at 1.44 tuned to 32.5 Hz. The CompRT 10 also ships loaded in the F-150 and Super Duty behind-seat boxes.

What sizes do you cut for Kicker?

Eight through eighteen inch, with 10 inch the largest group, then 12, then 8 and 15, and an 18 at the top. Mostly singles, with duals through the middle of the range and a triple at the small end.

Are these sealed or ported?

Both, close to evenly. Most of the ported cabinets are Performance Optimized wedges and down-fire boxes for the Comp lines, and the Solo-X ported cabinets are Professional Series X Series builds. Every sealed cabinet ships with polyfill installed; the ported ones ship dry.
