How do I find the right box for my subwoofer?

Find your subwoofer brand on this page, open its brand page and match the model number on your woofer to the model named on the listing. Every Proline X box is cut for one specific driver, not just a nominal size.

Can I use a box built for one model with a different model from the same brand?

Not reliably. Two drivers from the same brand and size can call for very different net volumes, mounting depths and cutouts, which is why we list each model separately. Order the cabinet named for the exact driver you own.

What if my subwoofer brand is not listed?

Our universal enclosures fit most drivers of a given size, and we can cut a box for almost any driver if you send us the model. Call or email us with the driver and the space you have.

Are these boxes made by the subwoofer manufacturer?

No. These are Proline X enclosures we design and CNC cut in Tullahoma, Tennessee, sized from each manufacturer's published parameters for that driver.

What are the boxes made of?

Langboard Elite MDF, CNC cut in our shop in Tullahoma, Tennessee, prewired to a Proline X terminal cup and covered by a 2 year limited warranty on craftsmanship and materials.

Should I choose a sealed or ported box?

Sealed boxes are smaller and give tighter, more controlled bass with less amplifier power. Ported boxes play louder around their tuning frequency but take more space and more power. If space is tight, start with sealed.

What is the difference between a wedge and a down-fire box?

A wedge sits flat with its angled face toward the rear, which suits trunks and cargo floors against a seat back. A down-fire box fires the subwoofer into the floor and keeps the overall height low, which suits trucks and tight spaces.

Do the sealed boxes come with polyfill?

Yes. Every sealed cabinet ships with polyfill already installed. Ported cabinets ship without it, and their tuning frequency is listed on each product page.

Do the boxes come with the subwoofer?

Most ship empty so you can use the driver you already own. Some listings are loaded builds with the driver installed, and those say so in the title.

Do I need anything else to install one?

An amplifier and wiring. Proline X enclosures are passive cabinets, prewired to the terminal cup, with no amplification built in.
