Ported tuning runs from 34 to 37.5 Hz on the Performance Optimized cabinets and from 30.5 to 38 Hz on the Professional Series. Shared across every cabinet: Langboard Elite MDF cut on ShopSabre routers in Tullahoma, Tennessee, and a Proline X ABS and carbon fibre composite terminal cup pre-wired in 12-gauge OFC.

Port Area Is Sized for the Excursion
On the ported cabinets, port length and cross-sectional area are cut together to hit the stated tuning, with the area sized for the excursion the driver is rated to. That is why the port on a high-excursion Skar cabinet looks large next to a generic one, and why it stays quiet at volume.
We Cut the Box, You Source the Driver
We do not stock Skar Audio subwoofers. These cabinets are built to Skar's published figures for a driver you already own or buy elsewhere. Nothing about the fit depends on where the driver came from.

Which Skar Audio subwoofers do these boxes fit?
The EVL, VD, VS and VXF lines and the ZVX-12v2, from 10 to 15 inch. Each product page names the exact model its cabinet was cut for. Match that model rather than the nominal size, because two Skar twelves from different lines want different net volumes and different tuning.
Do you sell Skar Audio subwoofers?
No. We build the enclosure to the figures Skar publishes and you source the driver. If you already own the subwoofer, that is exactly what these cabinets are for.
Should my Skar sub go in a sealed or ported box?
It depends on the model and your space, which is why several Skar drivers here are offered both ways. Sealed is smaller and holds its output below tuning; ported gives more output around its tuning frequency from a larger cabinet. What is the difference between Performance Optimized and Professional Series?
Performance Optimized cabinets are wedges and down-fires on a 1.5 inch double baffle, sealed or ported, and carry a 1-year limited warranty. Professional Series cabinets are standard front-firing ported builds with a heavier baffle and more internal bracing, and carry a 2-year limited warranty.
What tuning are the ported cabinets cut to?
Each listing states its figure. Across the Skar range the ported cabinets are tuned between 30.5 and 38 Hz. Lower tuning extends deeper and gives up some midbass punch; higher tuning hits harder and gives up extension.
Do the sealed boxes come with polyfill?
Yes. Every sealed cabinet ships with polyfill installed. The ported cabinets ship without it, so the tuning stated on the listing is the tuning you get.
Can you build for a Skar model or configuration that is not listed?
Usually. Everything is CNC-cut to order in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Send us the exact model, sealed or ported, and your maximum external dimensions through contact, and we will tell you whether we can cut it and quote it.
