Alpine Subwoofers We Carry

We stock a hand-picked pair of Alpine drivers rather than the whole Alpine catalog, both from the R-Series Shallow line: the RS-W10D4 and the RS-W12D4. Each gets 600 watts RMS and 20 mm of Xmax out of 3.25 inches of mounting depth, using a 4 inch voice coil, a neodymium motor and Alpine's dual-gap DD Linear motor design.

The two share their motor, power rating and depth, so the choice comes down to the cutout and the air you can give them. The RS-W10D4 takes a 9-5/8 inch cutout and Alpine recommends 0.45 to 1.0 cubic feet sealed. The RS-W12D4 takes an 11-5/8 inch cutout and wants 0.6 to 1.5 cubic feet. Both are dual 4 ohm, wiring to 2 ohms in parallel or 8 in series.

Why Alpine Keeps Them Sealed

These are high-Q drivers, and Alpine publishes only sealed recommendations for the R-Series Shallow line. Each driver page quotes Alpine's own recommended boxes with the external size, net volume and F3 Alpine lists for each.

Enclosures Cut for Alpine Drivers

Every Proline X cabinet on this page is cut for one Alpine model, not a nominal size, with the cutout and mounting depth cut direct fit. Match the model on the product page to the model on your woofer's label.

R-Series Shallow, R2 and S2

For the RS-W10 and RS-W12 we build low down fire sealed cabinets in single and dual, and a Micro Series sealed 10. For the full-depth R2 and S2 lines we build sealed wedges in single and dual, plus ported wedges for the R2-W12, S2-W12 and S2-W8.

Some RS-W10 cabinets ship with the RS-W10D4 already mounted and wired: the Micro Series sealed 10 system and behind-seat builds for the Ford F-150 and F-250. Which Alpine subwoofers do you sell?

We carry a select few Alpine drivers rather than the whole catalog. Right now that is the R-Series Shallow RS-W10D4 and RS-W12D4, both dual 4 ohm and 600 watts RMS. Any Alpine driver we add will appear on this page.

Do you build enclosures for other Alpine subwoofers?

Yes. We cut Proline X enclosures for Alpine R2, S2 and R-Series Shallow drivers from 8 to 12 inch, sealed and ported, in wedge, down fire and standard shapes. Each cabinet is sized for one specific model. The full set is in our Alpine subwoofer box collection.

Which enclosures fit the RS-W10D4 and RS-W12D4?

For the RS-W12D4, our down fire sealed 12 and down fire sealed dual 12. For the RS-W10D4, our down fire sealed 10, down fire sealed dual 10 and Micro Series sealed 10.

Can I buy an enclosure with the Alpine driver already installed?

Yes, for the RS-W10D4. The Micro Series sealed 10 system and our Ford F-150 and F-250 behind-seat builds ship with it mounted and wired. Our other enclosures ship empty, and the drivers are listed separately.

Sealed or ported for an Alpine subwoofer?

Alpine publishes only sealed recommendations for the R-Series Shallow RS-W10D4 and RS-W12D4, and we recommend sealed for them. The full-depth R2 and S2 drivers also work ported, and we cut ported wedges for the R2-W12, S2-W12 and S2-W8.
