INSTALLER'S TAKE

If I had to pick one amp for the build I see most often, components in the doors and a sub in the back, this would be it. The link500.4mini runs 3-channel mode the way it should be done: 125 watts a side to the front stage and a legitimate 250 watts bridged to the sub. Nobody is starving.

What sold me is the bass section on channels 3 and 4. Most compact 4-channels give you a low-pass and call it done. This one gives me a 1-band parametric EQ to pull down the cabin peak and a subsonic filter to keep the sub protected below the box tuning. Those are the two adjustments I make on nearly every install, and here they are built into the amp. Add the linkRC and the customer gets a sub knob up front, which they always ask for anyway.

Integration is the usual Wavtech story, and I mean that as a compliment. The 40V hi-level input and adaptive loading tap straight into factory amps, the built-in summing rebuilds a full-range signal when the factory splits it up, and the level trim lets me balance the pairs after summing. Auto turn-on means I am not fishing for a remote wire that does not exist.

At 4.5 inches wide it goes under a seat with room to spare. Run clean 4-gauge power and ground, set the gain with the clip LED, dial the subsonic just below your enclosure tuning, and notch the cabin peak with the PEQ. That is a finished system from one amplifier, and it sounds like it took three.

link500.4mini | 500 Watt 4-Channel Amplifier

The front-speakers-plus-subwoofer amplifier. Run components up front and a real subwoofer off one compact chassis, with bass processing built into the sub channels and clean factory integration throughout.

Built for the Most Common Upgrade

New front speakers and a subwoofer is the most popular aftermarket audio upgrade there is, and the link500.4mini was designed around exactly that build. In 3-channel mode it delivers 125 watts x 2 to the main speakers and 250 watts x 1 to the subwoofer, so neither end of the system is starved. Run as a straight 4-channel, it produces 75 watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms and 125 watts RMS per channel at 2 ohms, with 250 watts x 2 available bridged at 4 ohms.

All of it lives in a chassis just 9.2 by 4.5 by 1.65 inches, narrow enough to mount where conventional amplifiers will not go.

75W x 4RMS at 4 Ohms
125W x 4RMS at 2 Ohms
250W x 2RMS at 4 Ohms BTL

Real Bass Tuning on the Sub Channels

This is what separates the link500.4mini from other compact 4-channels. Channels 3 and 4 carry a 1-band parametric EQ and a variable subsonic filter, so when they are bridged for subwoofer duty the bass stage gets real tuning tools. The parametric EQ corrects the cabin resonance every vehicle has, and the subsonic filter protects the driver from over-excursion below its usable range.

Add the optional linkRC remote and the subwoofer level on channels 3/4 adjusts from the front seat, so bass can be matched to the music on the fly. Fully adjustable high-pass and low-pass crossovers at 12dB per octave handle the frequency split between the front stage and the sub.

The result is a complete components-plus-subwoofer system, tuned and protected, from one amplifier with one power run and one mounting location.

Clean Factory Integration, No Outboard Processor

The link500.4mini carries Wavtech's adaptive loading technology and accepts up to 40V of hi-level input, so it ties directly into demanding factory systems. For factory audio where no full-range signal is present, built-in summing with level trim recombines the split signals internally, with no external processor required. Differential balanced inputs reject system noise, and auto turn-on works through DC-offset or audio signal detection when no remote wire is available.

It is Start/Stop system compatible, and the build follows the Mini Series formula: compact aluminum chassis with detachable mounting tabs, Active Thermal Management, locking detachable hi-level speaker terminals, 4-gauge power and ground terminals, and variable gain with a clip LED for precise level matching.

Architecture

3-Channel Mode

125 watts x 2 for the main speakers plus 250 watts x 1 bridged for the subwoofer. The components-plus-sub build from one amp.

Bass Tuning

PEQ + Subsonic on CH 3/4

A 1-band parametric EQ corrects cabin resonance and a variable subsonic filter protects the sub below its usable range.

Control

linkRC Ready

Optional remote level control adjusts channels 3/4 from the front seat to fine tune subwoofer output on the fly.

Signal

Built-In Summing

Recombines split factory signals internally with level trim adjustment. No outboard summing processor needed.

Integration

40V Input + Adaptive Loading

Accepts high-level signal from demanding factory amplifiers with differential balanced inputs that reject noise.

Footprint

9.2 x 4.5 x 1.65 Inches

Mini Series width with Active Thermal Management, so real system power fits where full-size amps cannot.

Components Up Front, Bass in the Back, One Amp

The link500.4mini powers the most popular upgrade in car audio from a single compact chassis, with the bass tuning tools and factory integration to do it right.
