What Is Worth Saying
A silk dome on a coaxial is a real choice rather than a default. Metal domes are cheaper to make efficient, and most budget coaxials use one. Silk rolls off gently at the top and forgives a hard or compressed source, which is what most factory head units are feeding you.
Beyond that: it is a coaxial. One hole, one pair of wires, tweeter fixed at the woofer centre. If your tweeter was going into the door anyway, a coaxial gets you the same result as a component set in a fraction of the time.
