What You Are Buying
A two-way 6.5 inch component set from Rainbow's Experience Line: two woofers, two 19mm silk domes, two passive crossovers. Discontinued, and we are not restocking it.
The distinguishing feature is the mounting hardware. The woofer uses a shallow mounting pan with a sloping angle adjustment, which means you can tilt the driver in the baffle. On a factory door where the speaker points at your knees, a few degrees of aim is worth more than most spec-sheet upgrades.

Final sale. No returns, no exchanges, no manufacturer warranty. Discontinued model with no replacement pipeline, so a failed driver cannot be matched.
How Rainbow Rated This One
Rainbow did not publish an RMS power figure for the EL-C6.2P. What they published is an amplifier range: minimum 30W, maximum 150W. That is a different specification and it is worth understanding rather than converting.
A minimum amplifier power tells you the driver is not sensitive enough to do much below 30W. A maximum tells you where the manufacturer stops taking responsibility. Neither is an RMS thermal rating, and we are not going to invent one by dividing the maximum by two. Size your amplifier inside that 30 to 150W window and set the gain by ear rather than by arithmetic.
Reading the Specification
50Hz to 20kHz
A 50Hz lower limit is good for a 6.5 inch component woofer. It will carry more of the midbass on its own before a subwoofer has to take over, which matters if you are not running one.
Vented 25mm Kapton voice coil former
Kapton is a high-temperature polyimide film. It does not conduct heat the way an aluminum former does, but it also does not act as a shorted turn against the magnet gap, so you trade a little thermal path for a little more efficiency and less inductive distortion. The venting is what actually moves the heat. On a driver rated to accept 150W, this is the right combination.
Butyl rubber surround
Butyl outlasts foam by years in a car. On a discontinued speaker with no replacement path, a surround that will not rot is not a small detail.
19mm silk dome
Silk rolls off gently and forgives a hard source. 19mm is small enough to disperse widely, which is what you want when the tweeter is aimed across the cabin rather than at you.
The angle adjustment is the reason to buy these
Most factory door locations fire the woofer at the floor and the far door card. Tilting the driver up even slightly moves the perceived stage and cleans up the midrange, because you stop listening to the reflection instead of the driver. Use the adjustment. It is free performance.

Installation
- Test-fit the woofer dry, window up and window down, before wiring.
- Set the mounting pan angle before final assembly. Getting back to it means pulling the door card again.
- Amplifier into the crossover input, crossover outputs to woofer and tweeter. Never feed the tweeter directly.
- Seal the inner door skin. A 50Hz-capable woofer in an unsealed door will not deliver 50Hz.

Closeout stock from a discontinued Rainbow line. Sold as a final sale with no returns, no exchanges and no manufacturer warranty. Packaging may show shelf wear from storage. Specifications are as published by Rainbow, including the amplifier power range in place of an RMS rating and the absence of a published mounting depth.
