Equal Power at 1 Ohm or 2 Ohms
Most monoblock amplifiers are rated for their peak at one impedance and lose output at others. The link1500.1plus was engineered around a different goal: identical 1500 watt RMS output at both 1 ohm and 2 ohms. It delivers 900 watts RMS at 4 ohms, 1500 watts RMS at 2 ohms, and 1500 watts RMS at 1 ohm.
That consistency comes from Wavtech's dual rail voltage power supply. When you set the amplifier up, you select your subwoofer's impedance with the 4/2 or 1 ohm switch and the amplifier handles the rest, holding full output instead of sagging into a low-impedance load. At 13.11 by 6.5 by 1.65 inches, this is an unusually small footprint for a true 1500 watt RMS amplifier.

The bassFREQ Processor: A Tuned Low End
The link1500.1plus carries Wavtech's bassFREQ preamp, a complete bass management section built into the amplifier. It combines a variable low-pass crossover at 24dB per octave, a variable subsonic filter at 24dB per octave, and a fully adjustable parametric EQ. The crossover keeps the subwoofer focused on low frequencies, the subsonic filter protects the driver from over-excursion below its usable range, and the parametric EQ corrects cabin resonances and response peaks at a specific frequency rather than smearing the whole bottom end.
The optional linkRC remote brings subwoofer level control to the front of the vehicle, so the bass can be adjusted on the fly without reaching for the amplifier.
Built to Integrate With Any Vehicle
The link1500.1plus ties into modern factory systems cleanly. The speaker level inputs accept up to 40V with Adaptive OEM Load Technology, and the differential balanced inputs reject the noise that plagues factory integration. Auto turn-on works through DC-offset or audio signal detection, so no remote wire is required when one is not available, and the amplifier is Start/Stop system compatible for vehicles that cut power at idle.
The build matches the output. A compact aluminum chassis with detachable mounting tabs handles tight installs, Active Thermal Management holds rated power under sustained load, and 0-gauge power and ground terminals feed the current a 1500 watt amplifier actually demands. Variable gain with a clip LED makes level matching precise.
