What You Are Buying
A vehicle-specific 145mm speaker upgrade built for two cars: the VW Golf 6 and the Scirocco III. It uses the factory mounting location and the factory connector, so there is no adapter ring, no wiring harness to splice, and no drilling.

Check the car before you buy
This fits the Golf 6 and Scirocco III. It does not fit the Golf 5, the Golf 7, or a Golf 6 that has already had an aftermarket adapter fitted to a round speaker. Volkswagen's 145mm oval-mount format is specific and it does not interchange with a standard 5.25 or 6.5 inch cutout. If you are at all unsure, send us your model and build year before ordering. Final sale means we cannot fix a wrong guess afterwards.
Why Vehicle Specific Matters Here
Volkswagen's 145mm front door format is not a round hole. A universal 5.25 or 6.5 inch speaker needs an adapter plate to bridge to it, and that plate does three things you do not want: it adds depth in a door that has none to spare, it introduces a joint that has to be sealed or it leaks, and it moves the driver forward into the door card.
A part built to the factory format skips all three. The driver sits where Volkswagen intended, seals where Volkswagen intended, and clears the window mechanism because that clearance was designed in rather than hoped for.

Installation
- Confirm the model and build year before ordering.
- Pull the door card carefully and keep the clips. Golf 6 clips break if the panel is levered rather than pulled square.
- The connector is the factory one and only fits one way. Do not force it.
- Seat the driver so it seals to the door. A vehicle-specific part fitted loose gives up the one advantage it had.
- Test with the window both up and down before the card goes back on.
