Mike is the mono amp I recommend more than any other in this line, because it fits how most people actually build a system. Fifteen hundred watts at 1 ohm is plenty for one good subwoofer or a matched pair, and the part I care about is that it stays clean getting there: under 0.1 percent distortion and a damping factor over 250 means the bass is controlled, not sloppy.

I have heard plenty of big-number amps that sound mushy because they cannot grip the cone, and that is not this amp. The control set is complete for a daily subwoofer amp. The low-pass and subsonic do the real work, and I tell every ported-box owner the same thing: set the subsonic just below your tuning frequency and you protect the woofer from the excursion that kills them below tuning. The bass boost and included remote are there if you want them, used sparingly.

What makes Mike easy to recommend is the electrical reality. The onboard fusing tells you this is a current draw a normal vehicle can handle with good wire and a healthy charging system, no second alternator required. At just over 14 inches it also fits where the bigger monos will not. Do the basics right, proper power and ground, gains set with a clean signal, subsonic dialed to your box, and Mike will run clean for years.

US Acoustics Mono Class D Series

US Acoustics Mike 1500W Monoblock Amplifier

Everybody likes Mike. 1500 watts RMS at 1 ohm of clean, controlled Class D bass with a full control set and an electrical footprint you can actually live with.

375W @ 4 Ohms 750W @ 2 Ohms 1500W @ 1 Ohm 2-Year Warranty

The Sensible 1500-Watt Subwoofer Amplifier

The US Acoustics Mike is a 1-ohm stable Class D monoblock rated at 375 watts RMS into 4 ohms, 750 watts RMS into 2 ohms, and 1500 watts RMS into 1 ohm, all at 14.4 volts. It is the entry point to the US Acoustics mono Class D line, and it is built to be the amplifier most systems actually need: enough power for a single subwoofer or a matched pair, with the control to make that bass clean rather than just loud.

Mike keeps the numbers honest where it counts. Total harmonic distortion stays below 0.1 percent, signal-to-noise sits above 101 dB, and the damping factor is greater than 250 at 100 Hz into 4 ohms. That combination of low distortion and strong cone control is why this amp earns its name: it is easy to like and easy to live with.

The Controls You Actually Use

Butterworth Low-Pass, 10 to 150 Hz

The 24 dB per octave low-pass filter sweeps from 10 to 150 Hz, a steep, clean handoff that keeps the subwoofer focused on bass and nothing above it.

Subsonic Filter, 15 to 55 Hz

The adjustable subsonic filter protects subwoofers in ported enclosures from over-excursion below tuning frequency. Set it just under box tuning and your woofers stay safe when the music drops below where the box stops working for them.

Bass Boost and Wired Remote

Variable bass boost from 0 to +12 dB at 50 Hz, with the wired remote included so you can ride the bass level from the driver's seat track by track.

Class D Efficiency, Manageable Wiring

Ultra efficient Class D design means Mike draws less current and makes less heat than a Class AB amplifier of similar output, and the onboard 4 x 40A fusing reflects a current demand most vehicles can support without an exotic electrical build. A thermally stable heat sink and extreme bulk capacitor banks hold output steady through hard, repeated bass. At 14.1 inches long it fits far more installs than the big-power monos.

Match it to the right enclosure: Mike pairs naturally with a single subwoofer or a matched pair wired to 1 or 2 ohms. Our Proline X enclosures are CNC-cut in Tullahoma, Tennessee and matched to specific subwoofers, and ported builds benefit directly from Mike's adjustable subsonic filter. Tell us your subwoofer and we will spec the box.

Built to the US Acoustics Standard

Extra large gauge terminals accept proper power wire, Docking Pads reduce vibration transfer to extend amplifier life, and full protection circuitry covers DC, short circuit, thermal, and overload conditions with diagnostic LEDs. Every Mike sold by Audio Intensity is brand new from US Acoustics with a 2-year warranty through authorized dealers.

Authorized US Acoustics Dealer
