Performance Optimized Wedge Sealed Dual 15" Enclosure | Memphis Audio MOJO Pro 15
Two MOJO Pro 15s in a Dual Chamber Sealed Wedge
A sealed wedge cut for a pair of Memphis Audio MOJO Pro 15s, the MJP1544 or the MJP1522. It holds the 3.0 cubic feet gross that Memphis's 2024 MOJO Pro spec sheet prints for a sealed pair, split into two isolated chambers, with the raked back panel against the rear seat and both woofers firing rearward into the trunk.
Threaded Insert Kit, Baffle Ships Undrilled
Memphis Audio does not publish a bolt circle for the MOJO Pro 15, so both cutouts are machined but the mounting holes are not. The threaded insert kit ships in the box for each driver position: inserts, machine screws, a screw key and the drill bit. Set the woofer in its cutout with the supplied screws so the driver locates its own pattern, lift it out, drill those holes to 13/64 inch and press the hurricane nuts in from the back of the baffle.
Buy a matched pair. Two drivers of the same model and the same coil, both MJP1544 or both MJP1522.
The MOJO Pro 15 in a Purpose-Built Sealed Wedge
The MOJO Pro 15 puts a 2.5 inch voice coil on a 120 ounce magnet, with 0.51 inches of one-way linear travel and a 750 watt RMS rating. Memphis builds it in two coils, the MJP1544 dual 4 ohm and the MJP1522 dual 2 ohm, and both share the 13.84 inch cutout, the 15.90 inch frame and the 7.88 inch mounting depth this cabinet is cut around.
Memphis's 2024 MOJO Pro sheet prints 3.0 cubic feet gross for a sealed pair. This cabinet holds 3.00 cubic feet behind its divider, 1.50 per chamber, and after each driver's 0.29 cubic feet of displacement every MOJO Pro 15 works against 1.21 cubic feet net, 2.42 across the pair.
A Compact, High-Q Sealed Box
In 1.21 cubic feet the MJP1544's Qts of 0.650 rises to a system Qtc of 1.20, with a 2.4 dB peak near 71 Hz and F3 at 42.4 Hz. It is a tight, punchy alignment that puts its lift in the kick range and keeps the cabinet small. The same driver in 2.50 cubic feet per chamber would run Qtc 0.96 and F3 36.9 Hz, in a box twice the size.
Two Fully Separate Chambers
A full 0.75 inch divider splits the cabinet into two sealed chambers of 1.50 cubic feet gross. There is no shared airspace, so one cone's motion never changes the air load the other driver sees under hard excursion, and each driver keeps exactly the 1.21 cubic feet net the alignment below is computed at.
Each chamber has its own side-mounted Proline X terminal cup, pre-wired with 12 gauge OFC to its own driver position. There is no cross-chamber wiring inside the box, so how the pair meets the amplifier is decided at the terminals.
Trunk-Load Wedge Design Explained
Raked Back Panel
The back panel leans at 20 degrees to lie against a factory rear seat back, so the cabinet runs 15.87 inches deep at the floor and 9.32 at the top instead of leaving a wasted triangle.
Vertical Baffle, Rearward Output
Both woofers sit on the vertical trunk-lid-side face, an 18 inch tall 1.5 inch double baffle, and fire rearward into the trunk cavity.
The Trunk Is Part of the System
Rearward output loads the trunk volume and reaches the cabin through the rear seat and deck. That path is where a trunk-mounted pair gets its weight, and why moving the box a few inches changes what you hear.
The Trunk Stays Usable
The taper gives the height back where the lid closes, and at 36 inches wide the pair leaves room beside the cabinet on most trunk floors.
Engineered for the Memphis Audio MOJO Pro 15
At 1.21 cubic feet net per driver the MOJO Pro 15 runs a system Qtc of 1.20 with resonance at 57.7 Hz. Half power lands at 42.4 Hz anechoic, before any cabin gain. Expect a tight sealed character with a 2.4 dB lift near 71 Hz, carried low in the car by cabin gain.
Alignment Numbers
Qtc 1.202, fc 57.7 Hz, F3 42.4 Hz anechoic, per driver. Computed from the MJP1544 figures Memphis publishes: Fs 31.2 Hz, Qts 0.650, Vas 2.93 cubic feet.
Mounting Geometry
Vertical 1.5 inch double baffle with a 13.84 inch cutout at each position and a flush recess for the 15.90 inch frame. At 7.88 inches of mounting depth the motor clears the raked back panel by 1.33 inches at the tightest point. The baffle ships undrilled with the threaded insert kit, because Memphis publishes no bolt circle.
Performance Series Construction, Driver-Specific Tuning
Langboard Elite 3/4 Inch
Premium 3/4 inch MDF throughout, cut on our own CNC equipment.
V-Groove and Dado
The shell is one V-grooved strip folded at 90, 70 and 110 degrees, with the sides and the divider seated in 1/4 inch dados.
Double-Layer 1.5 Inch Baffle
Two bonded 3/4 inch sheets carry both drivers, with a cosmetic front layer that recesses the frames flush.
Two Pre-Wired Terminal Cups
Proline X ABS and carbon fiber composite, side mounted, one per chamber, 12 gauge OFC to each driver position.
Customize Your Build
Acrylic Insert Color. Black is standard: a black acrylic insert on the baffle. Choose None to build the cabinet without it, which takes $20 off. Plush black carpet either way.
Wiring the MOJO Pro 15 to Your Amplifier
The MJP1544 is a dual 4 ohm driver: its two coils give 8 ohms in series or 2 ohms in parallel. The MJP1522 is a dual 2 ohm: 4 ohms in series or 1 ohm in parallel.
Each chamber has its own terminal cup, so the pair can run a monoblock per driver or share one amplifier wired at the terminals. Two MJP1544s give 4 ohms with each driver in series and the pair in parallel, or 1 ohm with all four coils in parallel. Two MJP1522s give 2 ohms series-parallel, or 0.5 ohm with everything in parallel.
Watch the low loads. Many amplifiers are not stable at 1 ohm and very few at 0.5. Wire a pair of MJP1544s for 4 ohms and a pair of MJP1522s for 2 ohms unless the amplifier is rated for the lower load.
Power handling is 750 watts RMS per driver, so plan on 525 to 750 watts per driver at the final wired impedance. The small sealed chamber holds the cone back hard: it would take 949 watts to reach the 0.51 inch Xmax, past the rating, so heat is the limit in this box, not travel.
Fitment
External dimensions are 36 inches wide by 18 inches tall, with the depth running 15.87 inches at the base and tapering to 9.32 inches at the top. Installed, the raked back panel lies against the rear seat and the vertical baffle faces the trunk lid.
Measure the floor, then the lid. The 15.87 inch base depth and the 36 inch width have to clear on the trunk floor. The taper lets the lid close over the shallow end, but check your own lid line, since trunk openings vary far more than trunk floors do.
Plan the tie down. The cabinet weighs 55 pounds before the woofers go in. With two 15s fitted it is a two person lift, so anchor it properly before it goes in the vehicle rather than trusting a single strap.
Enclosure Performance
These figures are calculated from Memphis Audio's published parameters for the MJP1544: Fs 31.2 Hz, Qts 0.650, Vas 2.93 cubic feet. Volumes are net, per driver.
| Volume Per Driver | Qtc | fc | F3 | Character |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1.21 cu ft, this enclosure | 1.202 | 57.7 Hz | 42.4 Hz | Memphis 2024 sealed pair volume. 2.4 dB rise, punchy |
| 1.75 cu ft, larger | 1.063 | 51.0 Hz | 39.1 Hz | 1.6 dB rise, a little flatter |
| 2.50 cu ft, twice the box | 0.958 | 46.0 Hz | 36.9 Hz | 1.0 dB rise, deeper, much larger cabinet |
What the curves show. Doubling the airspace per driver from 1.21 to 2.50 cubic feet moves F3 5.6 Hz lower and takes the peak from 2.4 dB to 1.0 dB. On this driver a bigger box buys a flatter top end and some extension, at the cost of trunk space.
Why we built at 1.21. Memphis has published two MOJO Pro sheets. The 2022 sheet, still linked from the MJP1544 product page, prints 2.6 cubic feet gross for one driver sealed and 5.0 for a pair, and that same enclosure block appears word for word on Memphis's M7 and MOJO 15 sheets, which are different drivers. The 2024 MOJO Pro sheet revises the sealed figures to 1.5 and 3.0, and this cabinet is built to the revision.
What it sounds like in a trunk. These figures are anechoic. In a vehicle, cabin gain lifts the bottom octave regardless of alignment, and a rear-firing trunk mount adds the loading of the trunk itself, so the pair plays deeper in the car than the curve.

Built From a Spec Sheet, Not a Sales Sheet
Every Proline X Performance Series enclosure is CNC-cut from Langboard Elite MDF, 3/4" (18mm) panels produced to published mill specifications. Most enclosure manufacturers source generic MDF without published data. We can tell you the internal bond rating, the modulus of elasticity, the modulus of rupture, and the face and edge screw holding strength for every panel in this enclosure, because we chose the material based on those numbers, not on price or availability.
Langboard Elite is produced in the United States. The specifications below are pulled directly from Langboard's published mill data and are verifiable. This is the same panel stock used in our full Proline X lineup.
Langboard Elite MDF: Published Mill Data
| Property | Value | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| Panel Stock | Langboard Elite MDF | Named, verifiable panel source, not generic "high-density MDF" |
| Thickness | 3/4" (18mm) | Industry standard for subwoofer enclosures; panels below this flex under pressure |
| Density | 48.5 lbs/ft³ | Higher density = less porosity, better screw retention, reduced resonance |
| Internal Bond | 200 psi | Measures resistance to delamination under sustained internal pressure. The most enclosure-relevant spec on this sheet |
| Modulus of Rupture (MOR) | 4,200 psi | Bending strength before the panel breaks, relevant for larger unsupported baffle spans |
| Modulus of Elasticity (MOE) | 410,000 psi | Stiffness under load; higher MOE means less panel flex under bass pressure, less resonance |
| Face Screw Holding | 325 lbs | How firmly the panel surface holds a screw; critical for baffle joint integrity over time |
| Edge Screw Holding | 250 lbs | Panel edge retention, relevant for every joint that isn't face-to-face |
200 psi: The Number That Actually Matters for Enclosures
The internal bond rating measures how well the MDF panel resists delamination under sustained pressure applied perpendicular to the face. In a subwoofer enclosure, every bass transient generates a pressure pulse that pushes outward on every panel simultaneously. A panel that begins to delaminate internally loses stiffness gradually. The symptoms are slow: a box that starts to sound softer, less defined, less punchy over months of use. 200 psi internal bond is the spec that determines how long this enclosure holds its acoustic integrity under daily use at real power levels.
410,000 psi MOE: Less Flex, Less Resonance
The modulus of elasticity measures panel stiffness, its resistance to bending under load. A stiffer panel flexes less under the pressure generated by a high-excursion driver at volume. Panel flex is a source of acoustic coloration: the panel itself begins to radiate sound at its own resonant frequency, adding distortion to the output. 410,000 psi stiffness combined with V-groove and dado joinery means the panels stay rigid and the bracing controls resonance at the structure level, not the panel level. The bass you hear comes from the driver, not the box.
325 lb Face / 250 lb Edge: Joints That Stay Locked
Screw holding strength determines how firmly the panel grips a fastener at the face and at the edge. This matters most at the baffle joint, where the front panel meets the side panels and where the driver is mounted. A panel with low screw holding strength allows fasteners to loosen over time under vibration, leading to air gaps at the joint and loss of acoustic seal. 325 lb face screw holding strength means the baffle hardware stays put. Combined with dado joinery and adhesive, the front panel on a Proline X Performance Series enclosure is not going anywhere.
Named Panel Stock: Not "Premium MDF"
The phrase "premium MDF" or "high-density MDF" appears on marketing copy for enclosures across every price point, from $40 to $400. It is not a specification. It is a description with no defined standard. Langboard Elite is a named, sourced, mill-documented product with published data. We name it in our copy because naming it holds us accountable to the spec. You can look up Langboard Elite independently, verify the numbers on this page, and confirm you are getting what we say you are getting. That is the point.
Why Proline X?
Most enclosures are built to a price point. Proline X is built to a spec. Every box starts with published-data MDF, gets CNC-cut to exact internal volume, and is assembled by hand in our Tennessee facility. The difference shows up in the measurements, and in how the box holds up two years into daily use.
CNC-Cut to Spec
Panels are machine-cut on ShopSabre CNC routers and joined with V-groove and dado joinery. Consistent geometry, no hand-cut variance, no gaps at the joints.
Handcrafted in USA
Hand-assembled at our facility in Tullahoma, TN. Every enclosure is inspected before it ships.
Tuned to the Build
Internal volume and port geometry are calculated to spec and CNC-cut to exact dimensions. The box performs the same way every time.
