At the heart of the NB5-15 is a massive 280 oz ferrite motor structure optimized with a large inner pole and integrated Faraday shorting rings. This design drastically reduces inductive distortion, ensuring a smooth impedance curve and tight, musical response even at high excursion. The 2.75-inch flat aluminum voice coil provides superior surface area for heat dissipation compared to traditional round-wire coils, supported by a radial-vented motor gap that forces air across the windings to prevent thermal compression.
