Driver-Matched Tuning
Internal volume, port tuning, and cabinet dimensions are spec'd to each driver diameter, not a universal fit applied across sizes.

Proline X Performance Optimized enclosures tuned specifically for Ground Zero subwoofers
Tuned for Ground Zero Subwoofers
These enclosures are not universal boxes sized to fit Ground Zero drivers. They are tuned to Ground Zero subwoofer parameters. Internal volume, port dimensions, and cabinet geometry are matched to the Thiele-Small characteristics of Ground Zero Radioactive and Iridium woofers at each specific diameter. The result is an enclosure that extracts more output from a Ground Zero driver than a general-purpose box of the same construction. Available across 10 inch, 12 inch, and 15 inch sizes in sealed and ported configurations as the lineup expands.
Sealed and Ported Options
Both sealed and ported enclosures are available in this series. The sealed option delivers controlled transient response and a gradual low-frequency rolloff that integrates predictably with most amplifier subwoofer channels. The ported option uses a port tuned to the specific Ground Zero driver size it is built for, extending low-frequency efficiency and increasing SPL output at the tuning frequency. Port dimensions are not generic. They are calculated for Ground Zero woofer parameters at each diameter.
Dado and V-Groove Construction
Cabinet panels are joined using Dado and V-Groove cuts, which create interlocking channels at each panel intersection before bonding. This mechanical lock adds shear resistance beyond what adhesive alone provides and maintains panel alignment during assembly and curing. Ground Zero subwoofers are built for sustained high-excursion output, which generates repeated internal pressure cycles. The Dado and V-Groove joint maintains cabinet integrity and internal volume accuracy under those conditions across the life of the install.
Driver Fitment and Mounting
The single mounting face is sized to each Ground Zero driver diameter, 10, 12, and 15 inch, in single and dual configurations. Woofer mounting uses standard screws, which are not supplied. The woofer sits flush against the baffle without a recessed cutout. Confirm screw length against your specific Ground Zero driver's basket depth before install. Screws that are too long risk contacting the voice coil assembly and causing permanent damage to the driver.
Terminal Cup and Finish Options
Each enclosure uses a basic spring-loaded terminal cup that accepts bare wire directly at install. No ring terminals or spade connectors required. The cabinet exterior is available in grey trunkliner or plush black carpet, both standard finish options in the Proline X lineup. Neither finish requires additional treatment before the enclosure goes into the vehicle.
Build Specification and Series Position
These enclosures ship without polyfill, prewiring, or rubber feet. Polyfill is excluded to preserve the accuracy of the Ground Zero-specific port tuning and internal volume. Adding fill material to a driver-matched ported enclosure alters the alignment it was built around.
This series sits above the standard Performance tier and is the correct choice when the goal is to run a Ground Zero subwoofer in an enclosure built specifically for its parameters, not adapted from a universal design.
Frequently Asked Ground Zero Enclosure Questions
Which Ground Zero subwoofers do these enclosures fit?
The Performance Optimized Series is built specifically for Ground Zero's Radioactive and Iridium subwoofer lines across 10 inch, 12 inch, and 15 inch sizes as the lineup expands. The cabinet dimensions, mounting face, and port tuning are calculated for Ground Zero Thiele-Small parameters. If you have a different Ground Zero model and aren't sure about fit, contact our tech team with the specific model number.
What's the difference between sealed and ported in this series?
Sealed enclosures produce tight, accurate bass with predictable rolloff, ideal for SQ-focused builds and most music genres. Ported enclosures extend low-frequency response and produce noticeably more output at the tuning frequency, ideal for output-priority builds. Both are tuned specifically to Ground Zero driver parameters in this series. The choice depends on your build goals and available enclosure space.
Can I use these enclosures with non-Ground Zero drivers?
Mechanically the cutout dimensions accommodate standard 10, 12, and 15 inch drivers, so a different brand could physically mount. However, the internal volume and port tuning are calculated for Ground Zero's specific driver characteristics. Putting a different brand's driver in this enclosure means the alignment is no longer matched, and the driver won't perform as designed. For non-Ground Zero drivers, the standard Performance Series is the better choice.
Why don't these enclosures include polyfill?
Polyfill alters the acoustic alignment of a tuned enclosure. Since these boxes are built specifically to Ground Zero driver parameters, adding polyfill changes the tuned alignment they were designed around. The result is reduced output efficiency and a shift in the tuning frequency. The series is shipped without polyfill so the alignment stays intact.
What size amplifier do I need for a Ground Zero sub in this enclosure?
Match your amplifier's RMS output at your wired impedance to the Ground Zero driver's RMS rating. Ground Zero 10 inch drivers in the Radioactive and Iridium lines typically run 500 to 1000W RMS. 12 inch drivers run 600 to 1500W RMS. 15 inch drivers run 800 to 2000W RMS depending on model. The enclosure doesn't change the power requirement. A monoblock amplifier matched to the driver's RMS rating at the final wired impedance is the standard approach.
Does the dual configuration require specific wiring?
Dual driver configurations let you wire the two voice coils in series or parallel depending on your amplifier's stable impedance. Two dual 4 ohm Ground Zero drivers in parallel present a 1 ohm load. Two dual 2 ohm drivers in parallel present a 0.5 ohm load (most amps won't handle this). Confirm your amplifier's stable impedance specification before wiring.
