How do you wire and fuse a subwoofer amp?

Size the power and ground wire to the amp's output, and put the main fuse within 18 inches of the battery positive. Undersized wire is the most common install mistake we see: it starves the amp, drops voltage under load, and makes even a good amp sound weak. Ground to bare, sanded metal with the same gauge you ran for power.
