The US Acoustics Barbara Ann delivers 100 watts RMS per channel into 4 ohms, 175 watts RMS per channel into 2 ohms, and 350 watts RMS x 2 bridged into 4 ohms, all rated at 14.4 volts. It pairs the Full Complementary Class AB output stage with audiophile high-end op amps in the signal path, the same sound-quality-first approach found in the six-channel Lanna.
The measurements reflect the intent: total harmonic distortion below 0.01 percent, signal-to-noise above 97 dB, channel separation above 92 dB, and a damping factor greater than 200 at 100 Hz into 4 ohms. This is double the power of the Lisa with meaningfully higher measured performance across the board, the four-channel for a listener who cares how the system sounds, not just how loud it gets.

A Crossover Set That Can Run Active
This is where the Barbara Ann separates itself. Each channel pair carries independent Butterworth filters with unusually wide ranges. The 12 dB per octave high-pass covers 15 to 500 Hz and 50 Hz to 3 kHz, and the 24 dB per octave low-pass covers 50 to 500 Hz and 500 Hz to 5 kHz. That low-pass reaching 5 kHz is the key: it means one channel pair can run midrange duty while the other handles midbass, giving you a true active 2-way front stage from the amplifier alone, no external processor required. Add a Goldhorn DSP if you want time alignment and EQ on top, but the Barbara Ann can stand on its own filters in a way most four-channels cannot.

Install notes: the Barbara Ann measures 17.7 x 8.9 x 2.2 inches with three 35A onboard fuses. Class AB runs warmer than Class D, so mount it with airflow in mind. Angled terminals keep the wiring clean in show-quality installations.
