M28

28 mm Silk Dome Tweeter | Sold as a Pair

28 mm Silk Dome Machined Aluminum Chassis Fs 680 Hz 24 mm Mounting Depth Push Terminals

The Successor to the M25 mkII

The M28 replaces the Stereo Integrity M25 mkII with a larger dome and voice coil, which Stereo Integrity says brings cleaner output, lower distortion, and higher power handling. It keeps the same install-friendly approach: a shallow mounting depth, a polished front appearance, and a lotus pattern protective grille.

The chassis is machined aluminum with a black powder-coated finish, and a screw and clamp mounting ring keeps the outer diameter to a minimum for a clean look.

Engineering Highlights

Tuned Rear Chamber

Even with a mounting depth under one inch, a tuned rear chamber lowers the resonant frequency to 680 Hz, making the M28 easier to blend with a midrange or midbass.

High Quality Silk Dome

The 28 mm dome and surround are silk for a natural, smooth sound, driven by a solid copper voice coil on a lightweight Kapton former.

Neodymium Motor

A single slug of neodymium inside the motor drives the diaphragm in both directions.

Recessed Push Terminals

Push terminals are recessed into the back of the tweeter and included in the 24 mm mounting depth, and the black anodized stainless steel grille carries a laser-etched logo.

Crossover Recommendation

Stereo Integrity recommends a high-pass crossover point of at least 2,000 Hz with a slope of 24 dB per octave or steeper. The specification sheet lists a frequency response of 1,800 Hz to 35,000 Hz.

Build a front stage: Stereo Integrity pairs the M28 directly with the TM8 midbass for a 2-way, and adds the M3 Carbon midrange for a 3-way.

Fitment

Outer diameter: 59 mm. Cutout: 52 mm. Mounting depth: 24 mm including terminals. Mounting: screw and clamp ring. Impedance: 4 ohm. Sold as a pair.
