Massive Bass From a Small Enclosure
The HST series is Stereo Integrity's answer to a common problem: getting very large amounts of bass out of a very small enclosure. The HST-18 does it with long stroke and high motor force. Its bifilar copper voice coil is capable of 40 mm of one-way linear travel, which works out to 80 mm of total linear travel and 102 mm of total peak excursion.

Engineering Highlights
Triple Stacked Motor
A large 250 mm triple stacked motor structure with three shorting rings supplies the force needed to control a long-throw 18 inch cone.
Bifilar Copper Voice Coil
The bifilar copper coil is capable of 40 mm of one-way linear travel, and the shorting rings in the motor work to hold inductance down across that stroke.
Linear Suspension
A wide soft foam surround and a three layer, 10 inch natural Nomex spider keep compliance flat and linear. Sewn-on flat voice coil leads eliminate lead tap.
Carbon Fiber Sandwich Cone
A carbon fiber sandwich cone and dust cap provide very high cone stiffness, carried by a high-clearance cast aluminum frame with large 4 AWG push terminals.
Choosing Your Version
The HST-18 is offered in dual 1 ohm and dual 2 ohm. Dual 1 ohm coils wire to 0.5 ohm in parallel or 2 ohms in series, and dual 2 ohm coils wire to 1 ohm in parallel or 4 ohms in series.
