This is not a compressed box tuned tight to hit a compact dimension — the internal volume is sized to let both drivers work efficiently at the 36Hz tuning point. The Proline X P12D-P is a dual 12" slot-ported enclosure built for installs that demand maximum output and deep low-frequency extension. At 2.75 ft³ net and tuned to 36Hz, this enclosure gives two 12" drivers the combined air space and port geometry to produce output at the top end of what the Performance Series delivers. Two 12" drivers in ported alignment at 36Hz produce combined output that fills large vehicles and dedicated listening spaces — output that requires custom fabrication or a purpose-built SPL setup to exceed.

At 32" wide, 15" tall, and 15.3" deep, the P12D-P is a dedicated trunk build. Both the 32" width and 15.3" depth are critical dimensions — measure your available trunk space carefully before ordering. The 7.125" max mounting depth covers the majority of standard 12" drivers. A single terminal cup handles both drivers internally — both must be run at the same impedance.

Why Dual 12" Ported at 36Hz

The dual 12" ported configuration at 36Hz is the highest-output enclosure in the Performance Series lineup. Two 12" drivers in ported alignment produce combined output that exceeds what most single large-format drivers in ported enclosures can match at equivalent amplifier power levels. The 36Hz tuning point places the port output peak in the upper sub-bass range — where impact is most audible and where the combined efficiency of two ported drivers reaches its maximum.

At 2.75 ft³ net, each driver has adequate air space to operate efficiently in ported alignment. Port velocity is controlled at this volume — no chuffing, no audible port noise at real-world listening levels. Both drivers operate at the same correctly-sized acoustic load at the same tuning frequency, which produces consistent output and consistent port behavior across the full output range of the enclosure.

Maximum Performance Series Output

Langboard Elite MDF — Named, Verified, Documented

Every panel is cut from Langboard Elite MDF — 3/4" (18mm), a named, mill-documented panel stock produced in the United States. The specifications below are pulled directly from Langboard's published mill data.

V-Groove and Dado Joinery

Every panel joint uses V-groove and dado joinery — CNC-cut interlocking grooves that mechanically lock panels before adhesive is applied. On the largest enclosure in the Performance Series lineup, joint integrity across 32" wide panels and 15.3" deep side walls is the difference between an enclosure that holds its acoustic performance over years of sustained high-output use and one that does not. Every joint on the P12D-P is mechanically locked before adhesive is applied.

Single Terminal Cup — Same Impedance Required

The P12D-P uses a single ABS/Carbon Fiber Composite recessed terminal cup built in-house at our Tennessee facility. Both drivers are wired internally to the cup with stainless steel hardware, aluminum landing plates, and copper ring terminals, pre-wired with 12g OFC speaker wire. Both drivers must be run at the same impedance — confirm your amplifier output and driver impedances before wiring.

CNC-Cut Port Geometry

Port length, cross-section, and position are machine-cut to exact dimensions on ShopSabre CNC routers. Tuning frequency is consistent unit to unit — no hand-cut variance in port dimensions across the largest enclosure in the lineup.

Most enclosure manufacturers source generic MDF without published data. We can tell you the internal bond rating, the modulus of elasticity, the modulus of rupture, and the face and edge screw holding strength for every panel in this enclosure — because we chose the material based on those numbers, not on price or availability.

The internal bond rating measures how well the MDF panel resists delamination under sustained pressure applied perpendicular to the face. In a subwoofer enclosure, every bass transient generates a pressure pulse that pushes outward on every panel simultaneously. A panel that begins to delaminate internally loses stiffness gradually — the symptoms are slow: a box that starts to sound softer, less defined, less punchy over months of use. 200 psi internal bond is the spec that determines how long this enclosure holds its acoustic integrity under daily use at real power levels.

410,000 psi MOE — Less Flex, Less Resonance

The modulus of elasticity measures panel stiffness — resistance to bending under load. A stiffer panel flexes less under the pressure generated by a high-excursion driver at volume. Panel flex is a source of acoustic coloration: the panel itself begins to radiate sound at its own resonant frequency, adding distortion to the output. 410,000 psi stiffness combined with V-groove and dado joinery means the panels stay rigid and the bracing controls resonance at the structure level — not the panel level. The bass you hear comes from the driver, not the box.

Screw Holding

325 lb Face / 250 lb Edge — Joints That Stay Locked

Screw holding strength determines how firmly the panel grips a fastener at the face and at the edge. This matters most at the baffle joint — where the front panel meets the side panels and where the driver is mounted. A panel with low screw holding strength allows fasteners to loosen over time under vibration, leading to air gaps at the joint and loss of acoustic seal. 325 lb face screw holding strength means the baffle hardware stays put. Combined with dado joinery and adhesive, the front panel on a Proline X Performance Series enclosure is not going anywhere.
