Eton Speakers
The End-of-Year Closeout is not a standard sale; it is a strategic inventory flush designed to clear warehouse space for incoming next-generation hardware. For the audiophile on a budget or the installer looking to stock up, this is the most opportune moment to acquire high-end equipment. We are listing previous demonstration vehicles' gear, showroom display boards, and "New Old Stock" (sealed items from discontinued production runs). Because inventory is added daily through the 20th, speed is a factor. However, understanding the specific condition of the gear you are buying is paramount to ensuring it meets your project's technical requirements.
Choosing the Right Closeout Gear
When navigating this collection, categorize your needs by the source of the discount. If you are looking for a subwoofer that is already broken in and ready for immediate high-output use, a Demo/Display Model is ideal. These units have been handled by professionals and tested for performance integrity. Conversely, if you require pristine cosmetic condition for a show car build, prioritize Overstock or New Old Stock (NOS) items, which remain in factory packaging. Always verify the specific impedance (Dual 2 Ohm vs. Dual 4 Ohm) on clearance subs, as exchanges on limited inventory may not be possible.
Technical Condition Grading
We hold our closeout items to the same high standards as our full-price inventory. New Old Stock (NOS) refers to unopened products that are simply previous model years; electrically and mechanically, they are identical to when they were first manufactured. Display Models may have screw marks on terminals or mounting holes but are verified for full electrical functionality and voice coil health. All distinct cosmetic imperfections are noted, ensuring no surprises during the install.
Installation Advice for Clearance Items
When installing clearance equipment, particularly "New Old Stock" amplifiers or DSPs that have sat on a shelf, we recommend a "soft start." Ensure your electrical system is robust and grounds are secure before powering up. For subwoofers that are New Old Stock, remember they still require a break-in period to loosen the spider and surround, unlike our Ex-Demo units which are likely already compliant. Double-check dimensions and depth requirements immediately, as closeout inventory is final sale and specific replacement models may disappear quickly.
