300 watts and 11.4 mm of travel, JL's entry ten, and the wedge gives it a cabinet its price class rarely sees: 1.08 cubic feet net, vented at 33.5 Hz through a 14.2 square inch port, 30 inches wide, 13.5 tall, 7.88 inches at the top and 12.79 at the base. The Down Fire version of this driver comes out within a tenth of a cubic foot of it; the wedge is the flatter of the two in the car by half a decibel.

32.1 Hz and a 0.60 Qts on 31 litres of Vas is a driver that tunes cleanly a little above its resonance, and 33.5 Hz is where the in-car spread bottoms out at 1.22 dB across 25 to 60 Hz, on 2.28 dB of anechoic ripple and an F3 of 32.5 Hz. The port takes 25.17 of the 25.77 inches available and runs at 17.6 metres per second in the channel against an 18.2 limit, 10.4 at the mouth. This is a calm port on a modest motor.

Trunk-load wedge, explained

The 20 degree face is the seat side

A factory rear seat back
leans about 20 degrees off vertical. The mouth is that same triangle cut through
the side panel with its three edges rounded over at 1/2 inch, so the opening at the face is
24.2 square inches and air leaves it at 10.4 metres per second, against the 17.0 metre per
second threshold where a slot port starts to chuff.
