a 41.5 Hz motor with a 0.65 Qts, 10.3 litres of Vas and 300 watts, and the wedge gives it 1.06 cubic feet net vented at 35 Hz through a 15.5 square inch port. The cabinet is 30 inches wide, 13.5 tall, 8.00 inches at the top and 12.91 at the base.

35 Hz gives a 41.5 Hz motor an anechoic F3 of 29.3 Hz on 2.30 dB of ripple, and the price is paid in the car: 5.64 dB of spread across 25 to 60 Hz, the widest of JL's tens in this line, because the motor has stopped contributing before cabin gain arrives. If the install has the depth, the 10W0v3 in this line reads 1.22 dB. JL's own sealed recommendation is 0.35 cubic feet. The port takes 25.58 of the 25.66 inches available and runs at 19.4 metres per second in the channel against a 20.1 limit, 11.6 at the rounded mouth.

Trunk-load wedge, explained

The 20 degree face is the seat side

A factory rear seat back
leans about 20 degrees off vertical. The mouth is that same triangle cut through
the side panel with its three edges rounded over at 1/2 inch, so the opening at the face is
25.9 square inches and air leaves it at 11.6 metres per second, against the 17.0 metre per
second threshold where a slot port starts to chuff.
